What the extension does

ZenAds displays an ad unit, clearly labeled "Sponsored", next to the replies of certain artificial intelligence interfaces. Which ad unit is shown depends on the topic of the current conversation.

What the extension reads

To pick a relevant ad unit, the extension reads the text you send to the artificial intelligence, only at the moment you send it, and only on the sites listed below.

This text is processed entirely on your computer:

it is reduced to a list of words (accents are removed, and common words such as "for", "with", "how" are dropped);
that list is used to pick an ad from a catalog shipped with the extension;
the list is then forgotten.

The text of your conversations is never stored, never transmitted, never shared. It does not leave your browser, including toward our own servers.

What may be transmitted

If, and only if, a counting address has been entered in the extension's settings (the field is empty by default, which means no data leaves your machine), the following information is sent when an ad unit is displayed or clicked:

Event type (example: impression or click): to count displays and clicks.
Ad identifier (example: rdc-equipes): to know which ad to bill.
Site domain name (example: chatgpt.com): to tell the platforms apart.
Timestamp (example: 1785490062): to put events in order.
Installation identifier (example: 3f2a91c8-..., random): to tie the counters to your installation, as the basis of a future earnings program.

The installation identifier is a random code generated by your browser. It is created and transmitted ONLY if a counting address is configured; it contains no information about you, your machine, or your browsing, and it disappears when you uninstall the extension.

The server that receives these events also records, like any web server, the IP address of the connection.

Please note: even without the text of your conversations, the combination of ad identifier + timestamp + IP address could make it possible to infer that a person was interested in a given topic at a given time. We therefore treat this information as pseudonymized personal data within the meaning of the GDPR, and not as anonymous data.

What the extension does not do

It creates no account and asks for no personal information.
It uses no advertising cookie and no cross-site tracking identifier. The only identifier that exists is the random installation code described above, created only if you turn on counting, and which does not allow any link to your identity or your browsing.
It does not track your browsing outside the sites listed below.
It does not sell, rent, or pass any data to a third party.
It does not modify or hide the ads already present on the sites you visit.
It does not use any data to assess your creditworthiness or to score you.

Sites concerned

chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, gemini.google.com, perplexity.ai, copilot.microsoft.com.

The extension is technically unable to read anything elsewhere: the read permissions declared in its manifest are limited to these addresses. An additional permission toward ruedeschefs.com is used only to reach our own server (ad catalog and counting) when you turn it on; it reads no page.

Retention

Display and click counters are kept for 13 months at most, then erased. Aggregated statistics (total number of displays per ad) may be kept longer, because they no longer allow anyone to be identified.

Your rights

You can at any time:

turn off the ad units from the extension's panel;
empty the counting address so that nothing leaves your machine anymore;
erase the local counters with the "Reset" button;
uninstall the extension, which deletes all local data.

Under the GDPR, you have a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and objection. Write to hello@organizen.ai. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority).

Changes

Any change to this policy will be published at this address with a new update date. A substantial change in the nature of the data collected will be announced in the extension itself.
